A ceiling provides protection from the outdoors, as well as hypo and hyperthermic insulation. The final, unlocked ceiling is the Metal Ceiling. Metal ceilings must be installed on a wall, pillar, foundation, or other ceiling.
After the first Metal Ceiling is installed, subsequent Metal Ceilings may snap into position along the first one, allowing them to line up if there is enough room.
To be installed, a ceiling must be supported by a neighbouring
foundation or pillar. The ceiling may only be put up to two ceilings away in either direction on the x or y axis and up to one ceiling away diagonally from a wall or another ceiling directly above a linked foundation or pillar. The ceilings at the extreme extremities of this configuration will not support walls.
